RECLAIMED WOOD HOME ACCENTS & WALLS
Quality Comes First
One of my favorite quotes is from the late Bob Ross, who use to say "There are no mistakes, just happy accidents" And although I live by this quote on most of my reclaimed projects, I am also painfully aware that "happy accidents" can end up costing a lot of money and headaches, which is why my backup quote is always "measure twice, cut once"
I've been building, creating, or designing all my life... O.k, Maybe not ALL my life, but since I was Two years old I've had a hammer, paint brush or some other tool in my hand pretty consistently. My first job was working as my father's assistant as a handyman when I was 5. From him I learned how to cut and lay tile, put up dry wall, shingle a roof, install a toilet and a number of other skills I would find pretty useful in life.. By the time I was 10, I was making $5/hour and I felt rich. I had a pocket full of cash and a world of knowledge.
From my Grandpa, Father, Mother and Stepdad, I was a pretty lucky girl to have a family full of hard workers and builders willing to share their skills with me.
If I'm not traveling, you'll find me most days in my garage and in desperate need of a manicure.
